pronte per il consueto appuntamento con nuovi Brand?
Oggi vi presento Hellen Van Rees, stilista olandese, che si è laureata presso la prestigiosa MA Fashion at Central Saint Martins di Londra nel febbraio 2012 e dopo la laurea ha iniziato la sua propria etichetta.
La sua prima collezione è stata mostrata durante la London e Paris Fashion Week e noi l'abbiamo vista l'anno scorso in anteprima!) ed il suo brand è stato nominato "One to Watch " dalla London Fashion Scout.
Pensate che anche Lady Gaga ha indossato un vestito da questa giovane designer. Nel luglio 2013 ha vinto il Humanity in Fashion Award durante la Berlin Fashion Week, riconoscimento per i designer che creano abiti sulla base della sostenibilità .
Le Collezioni di Hellen van Rees sono fatte principalmente di tessuto tweed, ispirato ai classici tweed di Chanel. Hellen ha reinterpretato questo tessuto classico in un modo futuristico, a volte con elementi 3-Dimensionali, ispirata da installazioni di arte contemporanea. I suoi tessuti, totalmente fatti a mano, sono unici nel loro processo di progettazione e fabbricazione.
Io trovo che i capi disegnati da questa giovane stilista siano rappresentativi di un'avanguardia nel mondo della moda, dove il limite tra l'arte contemporanea e l'arte tessile, viene totalmente infranto.

ready for the usual appointment with the new fashion Brand?
Today I present Hellen Van Rees, Dutch designer, who graduated from the prestigious MA Fashion at Central Saint Martins in London in February 2012, and after graduation she started her own label.
Her first collection was shown during London and Paris Fashion Week (and we have seen last year in preview!) and her brand was named "One to Watch" by the London Fashion Scout.
Also Lady Gaga wore a dress of this young designer!
In July 2013 she won the Humanity in Fashion Award at the Berlin Fashion Week, recognition for designers who create clothes on the basis of sustainability.
Collections of Hellen Van Rees are made mainly of woven tweed, inspired by the classic Chanel tweed . Hellen has reinterpreted this classic material in a futuristic way, sometimes with elements of 3 – Dimensional, inspired by contemporary art installations. Her fabrics, handmade, are unique in their design and manufacturing process.
I find that the clothes designed by this young designer are representative of an avant-garde in the fashion world, where the boundary between contemporary art and textile art, is totally broken.
